From the makers of StaffSteady

Every resident seen, every day.

CheckSteady replaces the paper register in hostels, supported accommodation and residential centres. Staff record daily check-ins and comings-and-goings in two taps; managers see who has been seen today — and who hasn't — at a glance.

The register keeps itself: the day closes at midnight, misses are recorded automatically, and the morning starts with a list of exactly who needs attention.

What your staff get

The whole register, on screen

Every resident is listed the moment a staff member logs in — typing a name filters instantly, and the search forgives typos, missing accents and names in either order. One tap — or one swipe, on a tablet — records the check-in, timestamped and attributed to whoever recorded it.

The morning starts with the attention list

Missed check-ins, open breaches and residents never yet seen surface automatically. Nothing depends on someone remembering to check — the list is there when the day shift arrives, ordered by who needs attention most.

Thirty days of history, per resident

Each resident's last 30 days at a glance: seen, missed, or not required. A pattern of missed days is visible before it becomes a problem — and the record behind it can never be edited away.

Who's in, right now

A separate In & out view records residents signing in and out and keeps a live count of who's in, with a full movement log for any day — the answer to the fire-drill question in one look. In & out and the daily register are deliberately separate records.

Roll call on every warden's phone

One tap starts a drill or a real evacuation; every other phone on site shows the same list within seconds. Wardens mark people safe as they see them, ticks appear on each other's screens, and the people who need assistance are first on the list with their need beside them. It works with no connection and merges when the network returns. The drill is kept as a record.

From a spreadsheet to a working register in a morning

Bring the list you already have. Import a CSV with the headings you use and see a verdict for every line before anything is written: ready, already on the register, or the problem to fix. Rooms, ID numbers and evacuation needs come across with it. The same sheet can be imported again after fixing a line, and nobody is ever added twice.

Screens show sample data, not a real site's residents.

A statutory register you can stand over

Append-only records. Check-ins and check-outs can never be edited or deleted — not even by an administrator. Every entry carries who recorded it and when, and nobody can act as somebody else.

The day closes itself. At local midnight — the site's own timezone, computed on the server — anyone required but not seen becomes a recorded miss. A tablet with a mis-set clock can't shift what "today" means.

GDPR is handled properly. One click produces a resident's complete file for a subject access request. Departed residents can be erased on schedule, with the erasure itself logged. Data lives in Frankfurt, encrypted in transit and at rest.

Roles that match the job. Staff record. Supervisors also manage the resident register. Admins also manage accounts and run GDPR export and erasure — and every rule is enforced in the database, not just the screen.

Who it's for

Any residential site that needs to know who's in, who's out, and who has been seen today — hostels, supported and sheltered housing, student residences and care settings, across Ireland and the UK. One site or a group. If your register is a paper book at the desk, this replaces it.

Pricing

Per site, per month. Every feature included. No charge per resident or per staff account.

A busy winter shouldn't change your bill, so it doesn't. The daily register, the door log, the attention list, history, roles and GDPR tooling are all in — there is no tier where the audit trail costs extra.

Common questions

What does CheckSteady do?

It replaces the paper register in residential sites. Staff record one daily welfare check-in per resident and every door movement; the day closes itself at local midnight and missed check-ins are recorded automatically. It also runs fire roll calls across every warden's phone at once.

Can records be edited afterwards?

No. Check-ins, movements and drills are append-only and cannot be edited or deleted by anyone, including an administrator. Every entry carries who recorded it and when.

Does it work without an internet connection?

Yes. Check-ins and movements queue on the device and send themselves when the connection returns. The roll call marks people safe offline and merges the marks across phones afterwards.

Is there a free trial?

Yes — a free trial of a single site with no card, which you can start with sample residents to explore or empty and ready for your own list. When a trial ends the site becomes read-only rather than being deleted.

How much does CheckSteady cost?

It is priced per site, per month, with every feature included and no charge per resident or per staff account.
